بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ﴿1﴾

دن کی روشنی کی قسم ہے

Compare up to three translations verse by verse.
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ﴿2﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور رات کی جب وہ چھا جائے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And by oath of the night when it covers,
Arberry
and the brooding night!
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ﴿3﴾
Ahmed Ali
آپ کے رب نے نہ آپ کو چھوڑا ہے اور نہ بیزار ہوا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you!
Arberry
Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee
وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿4﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور البتہ آخرت آپ کے لیے دنیا سے بہتر ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And indeed the latter is better for you than the former.
Arberry
and the Last shall be better for thee than the First.
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ ﴿5﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور آپ کا رب آپ کو (اتنا) دے گا کہ آپ خوش ہو جائیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.)
Arberry
Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied.
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ﴿6﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیا اس نے آپ کو یتیم نہیں پایا تھا پھر جگہ دی
Ahmed Raza Khan
Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter?
Arberry
Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ ﴿7﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور آپ کو (شریعت سے) بے خبر پایا پھر (شریعت کا) راستہ بتایا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you?
Arberry
Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee?
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ ﴿8﴾
Ahmed Ali
اوراس نے آپ کو تنگدست پایا پھر غنی کر دیا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And found you in need, so made you prosperous?
Arberry
Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee?
فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ﴿9﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر یتیم کو دبایا نہ کرو
Ahmed Raza Khan
Therefore do not oppress the orphan.
Arberry
As for the orphan, do not oppress him,
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ﴿10﴾
Ahmed Ali
اورسائل کو جھڑکا نہ کرو
Ahmed Raza Khan
And do not rebuke the beggar.
Arberry
and as for the beggar, scold him not;
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ﴿11﴾
Ahmed Ali
اورہر حال میں اپنے رب کے احسان کا ذکر کیا کرو
Ahmed Raza Khan
And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord.

and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it.
