روشن کتاب کی قسم ہے

By oath of this clear Book.
Arberry
By the Clear Book.
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةٍۢ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ ﴿3﴾
Ahmed Ali
ہم نے اسے مبارک رات میں نازل کیا ہے بے شک ہمیں ڈرانا مقصود تھا
Ahmed Raza Khan
We have indeed sent it down in a blessed night – indeed it is We Who warn.
Arberry
We have sent it down in a blessed night (We are ever warning)
فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ ﴿4﴾
Ahmed Ali
سارے کام جو حکمت پر مبنی ہیں اسی رات تصفیہ پاتے ہیں

During it are distributed all the works of wisdom.

therein every wise bidding
أَمْرًۭا مِّنْ عِندِنَآ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ ﴿5﴾

ہمارے خاص حکم سے کیوں کہ ہمیں رسول بھیجنا منظور تھا
Ahmed Raza Khan
By a command from Us – indeed it is We Who send.

determined as a bidding from Us, (We are ever sending)
رَحْمَةًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ﴿6﴾

آپ کے پروردگار کی رحمت ہے بے شک وہی سب کچھ سننے والا جاننے والا ہے

A mercy from your Lord; indeed He only is the All Hearing, the All Knowing.
Arberry
as a mercy from thy Lord (surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing)
رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ ﴿7﴾

آسمانوں اور زمین کا رب ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے اگر تم یقین کر نے والے ہو

The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you people believe.
Arberry
Lord of the heavens and earth, and all that between them is if you have faith.
لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿8﴾

اس کے سوا اورکوئی معبود نہیں زندہ کرتا ہے اور مارتا ہے تمہارا بھی رب ہے او رتمہارے پہلے باپ دادا کا بھی

There is no worship except for Him – He gives life and causes death; your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers.
Arberry
There is no god but He; He gives life and makes to die; your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.
بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ يَلْعَبُونَ ﴿9﴾
Ahmed Ali
بلکہ وہ تو شک میں کھیل رہے ہیں

Rather they are in doubt, playing.
Arberry
Nay, but they are in doubt, playing.
فَٱرْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ﴿10﴾

سو اس دن کا انتظار کیجیئے کہ آسمان دھواں ظاہر لائے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So you await the day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke. –
Arberry
So be on the watch for a day when heaven shall bring a manifest smoke
يَغْشَى ٱلنَّاسَ ۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ ﴿11﴾
Ahmed Ali
جو لوگوں کو ڈھانپ لے یہی دردناک عذاب ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Which will envelop the people; this is a painful punishment.
Arberry
covering the people; this is a painful chastisement.
رَّبَّنَا ٱكْشِفْ عَنَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿12﴾
Ahmed Ali
اے ہمارے رب ہم سے یہ عذاب دور کر دے بے شک ہم ایمان لانے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Thereupon they will say, “O our Lord! Remove the punishment from us – we now accept faith.”
Arberry
'O our Lord, remove Thou from us the chastisement; we are believers.'
أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ﴿13﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہ کہاں سمجھتے ہیں حالانکہ ان کے پاس کھول کر سنانے والا رسول بھی آ چکا ہے

How is it possible for them to accept guidance, whereas a Noble Messenger who speaks clearly has already come to them?
Arberry
How should they have the Reminder, seeing a clear Messenger already came to them,
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ مُعَلَّمٌۭ مَّجْنُونٌ ﴿14﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر اس سے بھی پھر گئے اور کہا کہ سکھایا ہوا دیوانہ ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Whereas they had then turned away from him and said, “He is a madman, tutored!”?
Arberry
then they turned away from him and said, 'A man tutored, possessed!'
إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَآئِدُونَ ﴿15﴾
Ahmed Ali
ہم اس عذاب کو تھوڑی دیر کے لیےہٹا دیں گے تم پھر وہی کرنے والے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
We now remove the punishment for some days – so you will again commit the same.

'Behold, We are removing the chastisement a little; behold, you revert!'
يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ ٱلْبَطْشَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ ﴿16﴾

جس دن ہم بڑی سخت پکڑ پکڑیں گے بے شک ہم بدلہ لینے والے ہیں

The day when We will seize with the greatest seizure – We will indeed take revenge.
Arberry
Upon the day when We shall assault most mightily, then We shall take Our vengeance.
۞ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ كَرِيمٌ ﴿17﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور ان سے پہلے ہم فرعون کی قوم کو آزما چکے ہیں اور ان کے پاس ایک عزت والا رسول بھی آیا تھا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And before them We indeed tried the people of Firaun, and an Honourable Noble Messenger came to them.
Arberry
Already before them We tried the people of Pharaoh, and a noble Messenger came unto them,
أَنْ أَدُّوٓا۟ إِلَىَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ﴿18﴾
Ahmed Ali
کہ الله کے بندوں کو میرے حوالہ کر دو بے شک میں تمہارے لیے ایک امانت دار رسول ہوں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Who said, “Give the bondmen of Allah into my custody; I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger for you.”
Arberry
saying, 'Deliver to me God's servants; I am for you a faithful Messenger,
وَأَن لَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ﴿19﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور یہ کہ الله کے خلاف سرکشی نہ کرو میں تمہارے پاس کھلی دلیل لایا ہوں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And saying, “And do not rebel against Allah; I have brought a clear proof to you.”
Arberry
and, 'Rise not up against God; behold, I come to you with a clear authority,
وَإِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ ﴿20﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور بے شک میں نے اپنے اور تمہارے رب کی پناہ لی ہے اس واسطے کہ تم مجھے سنگسار کرو
Ahmed Raza Khan
“And I take the refuge of my Lord and yours, against your stoning me.”
Arberry
and I take refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you should stone me.
وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ لِى فَٱعْتَزِلُونِ ﴿21﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور اگرتم میری بات پر ایمان نہیں لاتے تو مجھ سے الگ ہو جاؤ
Ahmed Raza Khan
“And if you do not believe in me, then have no relation with me.”
Arberry
'But if so be that you believe me not, go you apart from me!'
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌۭ مُّجْرِمُونَ ﴿22﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس اس نے اپنے رب کو پکارا کہ یہ تو مجرم لوگ ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
He therefore prayed to his Lord, “These are a guilty nation!”
Arberry
And he called to his Lord, saying, 'These are a sinful people.'
فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى لَيْلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ﴿23﴾
Ahmed Ali
حکم ہوا پس میرے بندوں کو رات کے وقت لے چل کیوں کہ تمہارا پیچھا کیا جائے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
We commanded him, “Journey with My bondmen in a part of the night – you will be pursued.”
Arberry
'Then set thou forth with My servants in a watch of the night; surely you will be followed.
وَٱتْرُكِ ٱلْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌۭ مُّغْرَقُونَ ﴿24﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور سمندر کو ٹھہرا ہوا چھوڑ دے بے شک وہ لشکر ڈوبنے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
“And leave the sea as it is, parted in several places; indeed that army will be drowned.”
Arberry
And leave the sea becalmed; they are a drowned host.'
كَمْ تَرَكُوا۟ مِن جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ ﴿25﴾
Ahmed Ali
کتنے انہوں نے باغات اور چشمے چھوڑے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
How many gardens and water-springs they left behind!
Arberry
They left how many gardens and fountains,
وَزُرُوعٍۢ وَمَقَامٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ ﴿26﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور کھیتیاں اور مقام عمدہ
Ahmed Raza Khan
And fields and grand palaces!
Arberry
sown fields, and how noble a station,
وَنَعْمَةٍۢ كَانُوا۟ فِيهَا فَٰكِهِينَ ﴿27﴾
Ahmed Ali
اورنعمت کے سازو سامان جس میں وہ مزے کیا کرتے تھے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And favours amongst which they were rejoicing!
Arberry
and what prosperity they had rejoiced in!
كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ ﴿28﴾
Ahmed Ali
اسی طرح ہوا اورہم نے ان کا ایک دوسری قوم کو وارث کر دیا
Ahmed Raza Khan
That is what We did; and We made another nation their heirs.
Arberry
Even so; and We bequeathed them upon another people.
فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنظَرِينَ ﴿29﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس ان پر نہ آسمان روویا اور نہ زمین اور نہ ان کو مہلت دی گئی
Ahmed Raza Khan
So the heavens and the earth did not weep for them, and they were not given respite.
Arberry
Neither heaven nor earth wept for them, nor were they respited;
وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْمُهِينِ ﴿30﴾
Ahmed Ali
اورہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو اس ذلت کےعذاب سے نجات دی
Ahmed Raza Khan
And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture.
Arberry
and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement,
مِن فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ ﴿31﴾
Ahmed Ali
(یعنی) فرعون سے بے شک وہ ایک سرکش حد سے بڑھنے والا تھا
Ahmed Raza Khan
From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors.
Arberry
from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals;
وَلَقَدِ ٱخْتَرْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿32﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور ہم نے اپنے علم سے ان کو جہان والوں پر چن لیا تھا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time.
Arberry
and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings,
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَٰٓؤٌۭا۟ مُّبِينٌ ﴿33﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور ہم نے ان کو نشانیاں دی تھیں جن میں صریح آزمائش تھی
Ahmed Raza Khan
And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours.
Arberry
and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial.
إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ ﴿34﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; –
Arberry
These men do say,
إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ ﴿35﴾
Ahmed Ali
کہ او رمرنا نہیں ہے مگر یہی ہمارا پہلی بار کا مرنا اور ہم دوبارہ اٹھائے جانے والے نہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
“There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.”
Arberry
'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived.
فَأْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿36﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس ہمارے باپ دادا کو لے آؤ اگر تم سچے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
“Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!”
Arberry
Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!'
أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍۢ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ ﴿37﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیا وہ بہتر ہیں یا تبع کی قوم اوروہ لوگ جو ان سے پہلے ہوئے ہم نے انہیں ہلاک کر دیا کیوں کہ وہ مجرم تھے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals.
Arberry
Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners.
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ ﴿38﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور ہم نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو اورجو کچھ اس کے درمیان میں ہے کھیل کے لیے نہیں بنایا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play.
Arberry
We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play;
مَا خَلَقْنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿39﴾
Ahmed Ali
ہم نے انہیں بہت ہی مصلحت سے بنایا ہے لیکن اکثر ان میں سے نہیں جانتے
Ahmed Raza Khan
We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know.
Arberry
We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not.
إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ مِيقَٰتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿40﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک فیصلہ کا دن ان سب کے لیے مقرر ہو چکا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them.
Arberry
Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together,
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًۭى شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ﴿41﴾
Ahmed Ali
جس دن کوئی دوست کسی دوست کے کچھ بھی کام نہیں آئے گا اورنہ انہیں مدد ملے گی
Ahmed Raza Khan
The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67)
Arberry
the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped,
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿42﴾
Ahmed Ali
مگر جس پر الله نے رحم کیابے شک وہ زبردست رحم والا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful.
Arberry
save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate.
إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ ﴿43﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک تھوہر کا درخت
Ahmed Raza Khan
Indeed the tree of Zaqqum, –

Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum
طَعَامُ ٱلْأَثِيمِ ﴿44﴾
Ahmed Ali
گناہگارو ں کا کھانا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Is the food of the sinners.
Arberry
is the food of the guilty,
كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَغْلِى فِى ٱلْبُطُونِ ﴿45﴾
Ahmed Ali
پگھلے ہوئے تانبے کی طرح پیٹو ں میں کھولے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies.
Arberry
like molten copper, bubbling in the belly
كَغَلْىِ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ﴿46﴾
Ahmed Ali
جیسے پکتا ہوا پانی کھولتا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Like the churning of boiling water.
Arberry
as boiling water bubbles.
خُذُوهُ فَٱعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿47﴾
Ahmed Ali
اسے پکڑ لو پس اسے دوزخ کے درمیان دھکیل کر لے جاؤ
Ahmed Raza Khan
“Seize him, and forcibly drag him right to the blazing fire.”
Arberry
'Take him, and thrust him into the midst of Hell,
ثُمَّ صُبُّوا۟ فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ﴿48﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر اس کے سر پر عذاب کا کھولتا ہوا پانی ڈالو
Ahmed Raza Khan
“Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.”
Arberry
then pour over his head the chastisement of boiling water!'
ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ ﴿49﴾
Ahmed Ali
چکھ بے شک تو تو بڑا عزت والا بزرگی والا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Saying “Taste it! Indeed you only are the most honourable, the dignified!”
Arberry
'Taste! Surely thou art the mighty, the noble.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَمْتَرُونَ ﴿50﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک یہی ہے جس کی نسبت تم شک کیا کرتے تھے
Ahmed Raza Khan
“Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.”
Arberry
This is that concerning which you were doubting.'
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍۢ ﴿51﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک پرہیزگار ہی امن کی جگہ میں ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Indeed the pious are in a place of peace.
Arberry
Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure
فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ ﴿52﴾
Ahmed Ali
باغوں اور چشموں میں
Ahmed Raza Khan
In Gardens and water-springs.
Arberry
among gardens and fountains,
يَلْبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٍۢ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ ﴿53﴾
Ahmed Ali
باریک ریشم اورگاڑھا پہن کر آمنے سامنے بیٹھے ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
They will be dressed in fine silk and embroidery, facing one another (on thrones).
Arberry
robed in silk and brocade, set face to face.
كَذَٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍۢ ﴿54﴾
Ahmed Ali
یونہی ہوگا اور ہم ان کا نکاح بڑی آنکھوں والی حوروں سے کر دیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So it is; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes.
Arberry
Even so; and We shall espouse them to wide-eyed houris,
يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِينَ ﴿55﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہ اس میں ہر قسم کا میوہ امن و اطمینان سے طلب کریں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
In it they will ask for all kinds of fruit, with safety.
Arberry
therein calling for every fruit, secure.
لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿56﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہا ں پہلی موت کے سوا اور موت کا مرہ نہ چکھیں گے اورانہیں الله دوزح کے عذاب سے بچا لے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
They will not taste death again in it, except their former death; and Allah has saved them from the punishment of fire.
Arberry
They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell --
فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ﴿57﴾
Ahmed Ali
یہ آپکے رب کا فضل ہوگا یہی وہ بڑی کامیابی ہے

By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success.
Arberry
a bounty from thy Lord; that is the mighty triumph.
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿58﴾

And We have made this Qur’an easy in your language, for them to understand.

Now We have made it easy by thy tongue, that haply they may remember.
فَٱرْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُم مُّرْتَقِبُونَ ﴿59﴾
