Compare Al-'Adiyat in English

Compare up to three translations verse by verse.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبْحًۭا ﴿1﴾

Ruwwad

By the galloping, panting horses[1],

فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحًۭا ﴿2﴾

Ruwwad

striking sparks of fire [with their hooves][2],

فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًۭا ﴿3﴾

Ruwwad

launching raids at dawn[3],

فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًۭا ﴿4﴾

Ruwwad

stirring up thereby clouds of dust,

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا ﴿5﴾

Ruwwad

plunging thereby into the midst of the enemy[4],

إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌۭ ﴿6﴾

Ruwwad

indeed, man is very ungrateful to his Lord[5] –

وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌۭ ﴿7﴾

Ruwwad

and he himself is a witness to that[6] –

وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ ﴿8﴾

Ruwwad

and he is truly extreme in his love of wealth.

۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ ﴿9﴾

Ruwwad

Does he not know that when the contents of graves will be overturned,

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ ﴿10﴾

Ruwwad

and the secrets of the hearts will be brought to light[7]?

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ ﴿11﴾

Ruwwad

Indeed, their Lord is All-Aware of them on that Day[8].
