بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ ﴿1﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیا آپ کے پاس سب پرچھا جانے والی (قیامت) کا حال پہنچا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you!
Arberry
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper?
وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ ﴿2﴾
Ahmed Ali
کئی چہرو ں پر اس دن ذلت برس رہی ہوگی
Ahmed Raza Khan
Many a face will be disgraced on that day.
Arberry
Faces on that day humbled,
عَامِلَةٌۭ نَّاصِبَةٌۭ ﴿3﴾
Ahmed Ali
محنت کرنے والے تھکنے والے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Labouring, striving hard.
Arberry
labouring, toilworn,
تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةًۭ ﴿4﴾
Ahmed Ali
دھکتی ہوئی آگ میں کریں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
(Yet) Going into the blazing fire.
Arberry
roasting at a scorching fire,
تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ ﴿5﴾
Ahmed Ali
انہیں ابلتے ہوئے چشمے سے پلایا جائے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring.
Arberry
watered at a boiling fountain,
لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍۢ ﴿6﴾
Ahmed Ali
ان کے لیے کوئی کھانا سوائے کانٹے دار جھاڑی کے نہ ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khan
There is no food for them except thorns of fire.
Arberry
no food for them but cactus thorn
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ ﴿7﴾
Ahmed Ali
جو نہ فربہ کرتی ہے اور نہ بھوک کود ور کرتی ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger.
Arberry
unfattening, unappeasing hunger.
وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ ﴿8﴾
Ahmed Ali
کئی منہ اس دن ہشاش بشاش ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Many a face will be in serenity on that day.
Arberry
Faces on that day jocund,
لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۭ ﴿9﴾
Ahmed Ali
اپنی کوشش سے خوش ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Rejoicing over their efforts.
Arberry
with their striving well-pleased,
فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ ﴿10﴾
Ahmed Ali
اونچے باغ میں ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
In a high Garden.
Arberry
in a sublime Garden,
لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةًۭ ﴿11﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہاں کوئی لغو بات نہیں سنیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
In which they will not hear any lewd speech.
Arberry
hearing there no babble;
فِيهَا عَيْنٌۭ جَارِيَةٌۭ ﴿12﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہاں ایک چشمہ جاری ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khan
In it is a flowing spring.
Arberry
therein a running fountain,
فِيهَا سُرُرٌۭ مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ ﴿13﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہاں اونچے اونچے تخت ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
In which are high thrones.
Arberry
therein uplifted couches
وَأَكْوَابٌۭ مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ ﴿14﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور آبخورے سامنے چنے ہوئے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And chosen goblets.
Arberry
and goblets set forth
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ ﴿15﴾
Ahmed Ali
اورگاؤ تکیے قطار سے لگے ہوئے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And arranged carpets.
Arberry
and cushions arrayed
وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ ﴿16﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور مخملی فرش بچھے ہوئے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And linen spread out.
Arberry
and carpets outspread.
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ﴿17﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر کیا وہ اونٹوں کی طرف نہیں دیکھتے کہ کیسے بنائے گئے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
So do they not see the camel – how it has been created?
Arberry
What, do they not consider how the camel was created,
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ﴿18﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور آسمان کی طرف کہ کیسے بلند کیے گئے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And the heaven – how it has been raised?
Arberry
how heaven was lifted up,
وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ﴿19﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور پہاڑوں کی طرف کہ کیسے کھڑے کیے گئے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And the mountains – how they have been established?
Arberry
how the mountains were hoisted,
وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ﴿20﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور زمین کی طرف کہ کیسے بچھائی گئی ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And the earth – how it has been spread out?
Arberry
how the earth was outstretched?
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ ﴿21﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس آپ نصیحت کیجئے بے شک آپ تو نصیحت کرنے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.)
Arberry
Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder;
لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ ﴿22﴾
Ahmed Ali
آپ ان پر کوئی داروغہ نہیں ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
You are not at all a guardian over them.
Arberry
thou art not charged to oversee them.
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ ﴿23﴾
Ahmed Ali
مگر جس نے منہ موڑا اورانکار کیا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Except whoever turns away and disbelieves –
Arberry
But he who turns his back, and disbelieves,
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ ﴿24﴾
Ahmed Ali
سو اسے الله بہت بڑا عذاب دے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment.
Arberry
God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement.
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ ﴿25﴾
Ahmed Ali
بےشک ہماری طرف ہی ان کو لوٹ کر آنا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Indeed only towards Us is their return
Arberry
Truly, to Us is their return;
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم ﴿26﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر ہمارےہی ذمہ ان کا حساب لینا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning.
Arberry
then upon Us shall rest their reckoning.
