بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ ﴿1﴾

وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ﴿2﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور اپنے رب کا حکم سن لے گا اور وہ اسی لائق ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it.
Arberry
and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed;
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ ﴿3﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور جب زمین پھیلا دی جائے گی
Ahmed Raza Khan
And when the earth is spread out.
Arberry
when earth is stretched out
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ ﴿4﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور جو کچھ اس میں ہے ڈال دے گی اور خالی ہو جائے گی

And it unburdens itself of all that is in it, and becomes empty.
Arberry
and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself,
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ﴿5﴾

اور اپنے رب کا حکم سن لے گی اور وہ اسی لائق ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it.
Arberry
and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed!
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًۭا فَمُلَٰقِيهِ ﴿6﴾
Ahmed Ali
اے انسان تو اپنے رب کے پاس پہنچنے تک کام میں کوشش کر رہا ہے پھر اس سے جا ملے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him.
Arberry
O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him.
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ ﴿7﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر جس کا اعمال نامہ اس کے دائیں ہاتھ میں دیا گیا

So whoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand –
Arberry
Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand,
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًۭا يَسِيرًۭا ﴿8﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو اس سے آسانی کے ساتھ حساب لیا جائے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Soon an easy account will be taken from him.
Arberry
he shall surely receive an easy reckoning
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًۭا ﴿9﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور وہ اپنے اہل و عیال میں خوش واپس آئے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And he will return to his family rejoicing.
Arberry
and he will return to his family joyfully.
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ ﴿10﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور لیکن جس کو نامہٴ اعمال پیٹھ پیچھے سے دیا گیا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back –
Arberry
But as for him who is given his book behind his back,
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًۭا ﴿11﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو وہ موت کو پکارے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Soon he will pray for death.
Arberry
he shall call for destruction
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا ﴿12﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور دوزخ میں داخل ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And will go into the blazing fire.
Arberry
and he shall roast at a Blaze.
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا ﴿13﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک وہ اپنے اہل و عیال میں بڑا خوش و خرم تھا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Indeed he used to rejoice in his home.
Arberry
He once lived among his family joyfully;
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ ﴿14﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک اس نے سمجھ لیا تھا کہ ہر گز نہ لوٹ کر جائے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
He assumed that he does not have to return.
Arberry
he surely thought he would never revert.
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًۭا ﴿15﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیوں نہیں بے شک اس کا رب تو اس کو دیکھ رہا تھا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him.
Arberry
Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him.
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ ﴿16﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس شام کی سرخی کی قسم ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So by oath of the late evening’s light.
Arberry
No! I swear by the twilight
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ ﴿17﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور رات کی اور جو کچھ اس نے سمیٹا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it.
Arberry
and the night and what it envelops
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ ﴿18﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور چاند کی جب کہ وہ پورا ہوجائے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And by oath of the moon when it is full.
Arberry
and the moon when it is at the full,
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍۢ ﴿19﴾
Ahmed Ali
کہ تمہیں ایک منزل سے دوسری منزل پر چڑھنا ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khan
You will surely go up level by level.
Arberry
you shall surely ride stage after stage.
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿20﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر انہیں کیا ہو گیا کہ ایمان نہیں لاتے
Ahmed Raza Khan
What is the matter with them that they do not accept faith?
Arberry
Then what ails them, that they believe not,
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩ ﴿21﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور جب ان پر قرآن پڑھا جائے تو سجدہ نہیں کرتے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13)
Arberry
and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow?
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿22﴾

بلکہ جو لوگ منکر ہیں جھٹلاتے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
In fact the disbelievers keep denying.
Arberry
Nay, but the unbelievers are crying lies,
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ ﴿23﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور الله خوب جانتا ہے وہ جو (دل میں) محفوظ رکھتے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts.
Arberry
and God knows very well what they are secreting.
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ ﴿24﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خوشخبری دے دو
Ahmed Raza Khan
Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment.
Arberry
So give them good tidings of a painful chastisement,
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ ﴿25﴾

مگر جو لوگ ایمان لائے اورانہوں نے نیک عمل کیے ان کے لیے بے انتہا اجر ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end.
Arberry
except those that believe, and do righteous deeds -- theirs shall be a wage unfailing.
