بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿1﴾
Ahmed Raza Khan
The event that terrifies the hearts!
مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿2﴾

وہ کھڑکھڑانے والی کیا ہے

What is the event that terrifies the hearts?
Arberry
What is the Clatterer?
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿3﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور آپ کو کیا خبر کہ وہ کھڑکھڑانے والی کیا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And what have you understood, what the event that terrifies the hearts is!
Arberry
And what shall teach thee what is the Clatterer?
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ ﴿4﴾

جس دن لو گ بکھرے ہوئے پروانوں کی طرح ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
The day when men will be like scattered moths.
Arberry
The day that men shall be like scattered moths,
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ ﴿5﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور پہاڑ رنگی ہوئی دھنی ہوئی اُون کی طرح ہوں گے

And mountains will be like flying wool.
Arberry
and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts.
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿6﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو جس کے اعمال (نیک) تول میں زیادہ ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So for one whose scales prove heavy,
Arberry
Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Balance
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ ﴿7﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو وہ خاطر خواہ عیش میں ہوگا

He is therefore in the desired bliss.
Arberry
shall inherit a pleasing life,
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿8﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور جس کے اعمال (نیک) تول میں کم ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And for one whose scales prove light,
Arberry
but he whose deeds weigh light in the Balance
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ ﴿9﴾
Ahmed Ali
تواس کا ٹھکانا ہاویہ ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khan
He is in the lap of one that abases.
Arberry
shall plunge in the womb of the Pit.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ ﴿10﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور آپ کو کیا معلوم کہ وہ کیا چیز ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And what have you understood, what the one that abases is!

And what shall teach thee what is the Pit?
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ ﴿11﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہ دھکتی ہوئی آگ ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
A flaming fire!
