بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ﴿1﴾

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ﴿2﴾

جس کے واقع ہونے میں کچھ بھی جھوٹ نہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then none will be able to deny its occurrence.
Arberry
(and none denies its descending)
خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ ﴿3﴾
Ahmed Ali
پست کرنے والی اور بلند کرنے والی
Ahmed Raza Khan
The event will be abasing some, and exalting some.
Arberry
abasing, exalting,
إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا ﴿4﴾
Ahmed Ali
جب کہ زمین بڑے زور سے ہلائی جائے گی
Ahmed Raza Khan
When the earth will tremble, shivering.
Arberry
when the earth shall be rocked
وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا ﴿5﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور پہاڑ ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو کر چورا ہو جائیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits.

and the mountains crumbled
فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءًۭ مُّنۢبَثًّۭا ﴿6﴾
Ahmed Ali
سو و ہ غبار ہو کر اڑتے پھریں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light.

and become a dust, scattered,
وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ثَلَٰثَةًۭ ﴿7﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور (اس وقت) تمہاری تین جماعتیں ہو جائیں گی
Ahmed Raza Khan
And you will become divided into three categories.

and you shall be three bands --
فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ ﴿8﴾

پھر داہنے والے کیا خوب ہی ہیں داہنے والے

So those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right!

Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!)
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ ﴿9﴾

اوربائیں والے کیسے برے ہیں بائیں والے

And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left!

Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!)
وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ﴿10﴾

اور سب سے اول ایمان لانے والے سب سے اول داخل ہونے والے ہیں

And those who surpassed have indeed excelled.

and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿11﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہ الله کے ساتھ خاص قرب رکھنے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
It is they who are the close ones.
Arberry
those are they brought nigh the Throne,
فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿12﴾
Ahmed Ali
نعمت کے باغات ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
They are in Gardens of peace.
Arberry
in the Gardens of Delight
ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿13﴾
Ahmed Ali
پہلوں میں سے بہت سے
Ahmed Raza Khan
A large group from the earlier generations.

(a throng of the ancients
وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿14﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور پچھلوں میں سے تھوڑے سے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And a few from the latter.

and how few of the later folk)
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ ﴿15﴾
Ahmed Ali
تختوں پر جو جڑاؤ ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
On studded thrones.
Arberry
upon close-wrought couches
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ ﴿16﴾
Ahmed Ali
آمنے سامنے تکیہ لگائے ہوئےبیٹھے ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Reclining on them, facing each other.
Arberry
reclining upon them, set face to face,
يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌۭ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ﴿17﴾
Ahmed Ali
ان کے پاس ایسے لڑکے جو ہمیشہ لڑکے ہی رہیں گے آمد و رفت کیا کریں گے

Surrounded by immortal boys.
Arberry
immortal youths going round about them
بِأَكْوَابٍۢ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۢ ﴿18﴾
Ahmed Ali
آبخورے اور آفتابے اور ایسا جام شراب لے کر جو بہتی ہوئی شراب سے بھرا جائے گا

Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them.
Arberry
with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring
لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ ﴿19﴾
Ahmed Ali
نہ اس سے ان کو دردِ سر ہوگا اور نہ اس سے عقل میں فتور آئے گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses.

(no brows throbbing, no intoxication)
وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ ﴿20﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور میوے جنہیں وہ پسند کریں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And fruits that they may like.
Arberry
and such fruits as they shall choose,
وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍۢ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ﴿21﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور پرندوں کا گوشت جو ان کو مرغوب ہو گا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And meat of birds that they may wish.

and such flesh of fowl as they desire,
وَحُورٌ عِينٌۭ ﴿22﴾
Ahmed Ali
اوربڑی بڑی آنکھوں والی حوریں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And gorgeous eyed fair maidens.
Arberry
and wide-eyed houris
كَأَمْثَٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ ﴿23﴾
Ahmed Ali
جیسے موتی کئی تہو ں میں رکھےہوئے ہوں

Like pearls safely hidden.
Arberry
as the likeness of hidden pearls,
جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿24﴾
Ahmed Ali
بدلے اس کے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے
Ahmed Raza Khan
The reward for what they did.
Arberry
a recompense for that they laboured.
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا ﴿25﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہ وہاں کوئی لغو اور گناہ کی بات نہیں سنیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin.

Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin,
إِلَّا قِيلًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا ﴿26﴾
Ahmed Ali
مگر سلام سلام کہنا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Except the saying, “Peace, peace.”

only the saying 'Peace, Peace!'
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿27﴾

اور داہنے والے کیسے اچھے ہوں گے داہنے والے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right!

The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!)
فِى سِدْرٍۢ مَّخْضُودٍۢ ﴿28﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہ بے کانٹوں کی بیریوں میں ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Among thorn-less lote-trees.
Arberry
mid thornless lote-trees
وَطَلْحٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ ﴿29﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور گتھے ہوئے کیلو ں میں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And clusters of banana plants.
Arberry
and serried acacias,
وَظِلٍّۢ مَّمْدُودٍۢ ﴿30﴾
Ahmed Ali
اورلمبے سایوں میں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And in everlasting shade.
Arberry
and spreading shade
وَمَآءٍۢ مَّسْكُوبٍۢ ﴿31﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور پانی کی آبشاروں میں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And in perpetually flowing water.
Arberry
and outpoured waters,
وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ كَثِيرَةٍۢ ﴿32﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور باافراط میوں میں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And plenty of fruits.
Arberry
and fruits abounding
لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍۢ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍۢ ﴿33﴾
Ahmed Ali
جونہ کبھی منقطع ہوں گے اور نہ ان میں روک ٹوک ہو گی
Ahmed Raza Khan
That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped.
Arberry
unfailing, unforbidden,
وَفُرُشٍۢ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ ﴿34﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور اونچے فرشتوں میں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And raised couches.
Arberry
and upraised couches.
إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءًۭ ﴿35﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک ہم نے انہیں (حوروں کو) ایک عجیب انداز سے پیدا کیا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development.
Arberry
Perfectly We formed them, perfect,
فَجَعَلْنَٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا ﴿36﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس ہم نے انہیں کنواریاں بنا دیا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So made them as maidens.
Arberry
and We made them spotless virgins,
عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًۭا ﴿37﴾
Ahmed Ali
دل لبھانے والی ہم عمر بنایا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
The beloved of their husbands, of one age.
Arberry
chastely amorous,
لِّأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿38﴾
Ahmed Ali
داہنے والوں کے لیے
Ahmed Raza Khan
For those on the right.
Arberry
like of age for the Companions of the Right.
ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿39﴾
Ahmed Ali
بہت سے پہلوں میں سے ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
A large group from the earlier generations.
Arberry
A throng of the ancients
وَثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿40﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور بہت سے پچھلوں میں سے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And a large group from the latter.
Arberry
and a throng of the later folk.
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ﴿41﴾
Ahmed Ali
اوربائیں والے کیسے برے ہیں بائیں والے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left!

The Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!)
فِى سَمُومٍۢ وَحَمِيمٍۢ ﴿42﴾
Ahmed Ali
وہ لووں اور کھولتے ہوئے پانی میں ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
In scorching wind and boiling hot water.
Arberry
mid burning winds and boiling waters
وَظِلٍّۢ مِّن يَحْمُومٍۢ ﴿43﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور سیاہ دھوئیں کے سائے میں
Ahmed Raza Khan
And in the shadow of a burning smoke.
Arberry
and the shadow of a smoking blaze
لَّا بَارِدٍۢ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ ﴿44﴾
Ahmed Ali
جو نہ ٹھنڈا ہوگا اور نہ راحت بخش
Ahmed Raza Khan
Which is neither cool nor is for respect.
Arberry
neither cool, neither goodly;
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ ﴿45﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک وہ اس سے پہلے خوش حال تھے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Indeed they were among favours before this.
Arberry
and before that they lived at ease,
وَكَانُوا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿46﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور بڑے گناہ (شرک) پر اصرار کیا کرتے تھے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And were stubborn upon the great sin (of disbelief).
Arberry
and persisted in the Great Sin,
وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ﴿47﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور کہا کرتے تھے کیا جب ہم مر جائیں گے اور مٹی اور ہڈیاں ہو جائیں گے تو کیا ہم پھر اٹھاے جائیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And they used to say, “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we surely be raised again?”
Arberry
ever saying, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up?
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ﴿48﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور کیا ہمارے اگلے باپ دادا بھی
Ahmed Raza Khan
“And also our forefathers?”
Arberry
What, and our fathers, the ancients?'
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿49﴾
Ahmed Ali
کہہ دو بے شک پہلے بھی اور پچھلے بھی
Ahmed Raza Khan
Proclaim, “Without doubt all – the former and the latter.”

Say: 'The ancients, and the later folk
لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ﴿50﴾
Ahmed Ali
ایک معین تاریخ کے وقت پر جمع کیے جاویں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
“They will all be gathered together – on the appointed time of the known day.”
Arberry
shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day.
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿51﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر بے شک تمہیں اے گمراہو جھٹلانے والو
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers –
Arberry
Then you erring ones, you that cried lies,
لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍۢ مِّن زَقُّومٍۢ ﴿52﴾
Ahmed Ali
البتہ تھوہر کا درخت کھانا ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khan
You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree.
Arberry
you shall eat of a tree called Zakkoum,
فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ ﴿53﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر اس سے پیٹ بھرنے ہوں گے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then will fill your bellies with it.
Arberry
and you shall fill therewith your bellies
فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ﴿54﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر اس پر کھولتا ہوا پانی پینا ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khan
And upon it, you will drink the hot boiling water.
Arberry
and drink on top of that boiling water
فَشَٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ ﴿55﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر پینا ہو گا پیاسے اونٹوں کا سا پینا
Ahmed Raza Khan
Drinking the way thirsty camels drink.
Arberry
lapping it down like thirsty camels.'
هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿56﴾
Ahmed Ali
قیامت کے دن یہ ان کی مہمانی ہو گی
Ahmed Raza Khan
This is their reception on the Day of Justice.
Arberry
This shall be their hospitality on the Day of Doom.
نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ﴿57﴾
Ahmed Ali
ہم نے ہی تمہیں پیدا کیا ہے پس کیوں تم تصدیق نہیں کرتے
Ahmed Raza Khan
It is We Who created you, so why do you not accept the truth?
Arberry
We created you; therefore why will you not believe?
أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ ﴿58﴾
Ahmed Ali
بھلا دیکھو (تو) (منی) جو تم ٹپکاتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
So what is your opinion regarding the semen you discharge?

Have you considered the seed you spill?
ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ ﴿59﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیا تم اسے پیدا کرتے ہو یا ہم ہی پیدا کرنے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Do you make a human out of it, or is it We Who create?
Arberry
Do you yourselves create it, or are We the Creators?
نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ ﴿60﴾
Ahmed Ali
ہم نے ہی تمہارے درمیان موت مقرر کر دی ہے اور ہم عاجز نہیں ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
It is We Who have ordained death among you, and We have not been beaten –
Arberry
We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped;
عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَٰلَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿61﴾
Ahmed Ali
اس بات سے کہ ہم تم جیسے لوگ بدل لائیں اور تمہیں ایسی صورت میں بنا کھڑا کریں جو تم نہیں جانتے
Ahmed Raza Khan
In the matter of exchanging you for others, and to transform you into what you do not know.
Arberry
that We may exchange the likes of you, and make you to grow again in a fashion you know not.
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿62﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور تم پہلی پیدائش کو جان چکے ہو پھر کیوں تم غور نہیں کرتے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And you have indeed learnt about the first creation, so why do you not ponder?
Arberry
You have known the first growth; so why will you not remember?
أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ ﴿63﴾
Ahmed Ali
بھلا دیکھو جو کچھ تم بولتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
So what is your opinion regarding what you sow?
Arberry
Have you considered the soil you till?
ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ ﴿64﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیا تم اسے اگاتے ہو یا ہم اگانے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it?
Arberry
Do you yourselves sow it, or are We the Sowers?
لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَٰهُ حُطَٰمًۭا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ ﴿65﴾
Ahmed Ali
اگر ہم چاہیں تو اسے چورا چورا کر دیں پھر تم تعجب کرتے رہ جاؤ
Ahmed Raza Khan
If We will We can make it like dry trampled hay, so you would keep crying out.
Arberry
Did We will, We would make it broken orts, and you would remain bitterly jesting --
إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ ﴿66﴾
Ahmed Ali
کہ بے شک ہم پر تو تاوان پڑ گیا
Ahmed Raza Khan
That, “We have indeed been penalised!”

'We are debt-loaded;
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ ﴿67﴾
Ahmed Ali
بلکہ ہم بے نصیب ہو گئے
Ahmed Raza Khan
“In fact, we were unfortunate!”

nay, we have been robbed!'
أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ ﴿68﴾
Ahmed Ali
بھلا دیکھو تو سہی وہ پانی جو تم پیتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
So what is your opinion regarding the water that you drink?
Arberry
Have you considered the water you drink?
ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ ﴿69﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیا تم نے اسے بادل سے اتارا ہے یا ہم اتارنے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Is it you who caused it to descend from the cloud, or is it We Who cause it to descend?
Arberry
Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it?
لَوْ نَشَآءُ جَعَلْنَٰهُ أُجَاجًۭا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿70﴾
Ahmed Ali
اگر ہم چاہیں تو اسے کھاری کر دیں پس کیوں تم شکر نہیں کرتے

If We will We can make it bitter, so why do you not give thanks?
Arberry
Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful?
أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ ﴿71﴾
Ahmed Ali
بھلا دیکھو تو سہی وہ آگ جو تم سلگاتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
So what is your opinion regarding the fire which you kindle?

Have you considered the fire you kindle?
ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ ﴿72﴾
Ahmed Ali
کیا تم نے اس کا درخت پیدا کیا ہے یا ہم پیدا کرنے والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Is it you who grew its tree, or is it We Who create?
Arberry
Did you make its timber to grow, or did We make it?
نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَٰهَا تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَمَتَٰعًۭا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ ﴿73﴾
Ahmed Ali
ہم نے اسے یادگار اور مسافروں کے لیے فائدہ کی چیز بنا دیا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
We have made it as a reminder of hell and as a utility for travellers in the jungle.
Arberry
We Ourselves made it for a reminder, and a boon to the desert-dwellers.
فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿74﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس اپنے رب کے نام کی تسبیح کر جو بڑا عظمت والا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest.

Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty.
۞ فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴿75﴾

پھر میں تاروں کے ڈوبنے کی قسم کھاتا ہوں

So I swear by the setting places of the stars.
Arberry
No! I swear by the fallings of the stars
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌۭ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ ﴿76﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور بے شک اگر سمجھو تو یہ بڑی قسم ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand.
Arberry
(and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it)
إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ ﴿77﴾
Ahmed Ali
کہ بے شک یہ قرآن بڑی شان والا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
This is indeed the noble Qur’an.

it is surely a noble Koran
فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مَّكْنُونٍۢ ﴿78﴾
Ahmed Ali
ایک پوشیدہ کتاب میں لکھا ہوا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Kept in a secure Book.
Arberry
in a hidden Book
لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ ﴿79﴾
Ahmed Ali
جسے بغیر پاکو ں کے اور کوئی نہیں چھوتا
Ahmed Raza Khan
None may touch it, except with ablution.
Arberry
none but the purified shall touch,
تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿80﴾
Ahmed Ali
پروردگار عالم کی طرف سے نازل ہوا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation.
Arberry
a sending down from the Lord of all Being.
أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ ﴿81﴾
Ahmed Ali
سو کیا تم اس کلام کو سرسری بات سمجھتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
So is this the matter regarding which you laze?
Arberry
What, do you hold this discourse in disdain,
وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿82﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور اپنا حصہ تم یہی لیتے ہو کہ اسے جھٹلاتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
And you make its denial your share?
Arberry
and do you make it your living to cry lies?
فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ ﴿83﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر کس لیے روح کو روک نہیں لیتے جب کہ وہ گلے تک آ جاتی ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, –
Arberry
Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying
وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍۢ تَنظُرُونَ ﴿84﴾
Ahmed Ali
اورتم اس وقت دیکھا کرتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
Whereas you watch at that moment!
Arberry
and that hour you are watching
وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿85﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور تم سے زیادہ ہم اس کے قرب ہوتے ہیں لیکن تم نہیں دیکھتے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see.
Arberry
(And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us)
فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ ﴿86﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس اگر تمہارا حساب کتاب ہونے والا نہیں ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, –
Arberry
why, if you are not at Our disposal,
تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿87﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو تم اس روح کو کیوں نہیں لوٹا دیتے اگر تم سچے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
That you bring it back, if you are truthful?
Arberry
do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly?
فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ﴿88﴾
Ahmed Ali
پھر (جب قیامت آئے گی) اگر وہ مقربین میں سے ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, –
Arberry
Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne,
فَرَوْحٌۭ وَرَيْحَانٌۭ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍۢ ﴿89﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو (اس کے لیے) راحت اور خوشبو میں اور عیش کی باغ ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace.
Arberry
there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight;
وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿90﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور اگر وہ داہنے والوں میں سے ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And if he is of those on the right, –
Arberry
and if he be a Companion of the Right:
فَسَلَٰمٌۭ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿91﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو اے شخص تو جو داہنے والوں میں سے ہے تجھ پر سلام ہو
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right.
Arberry
'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!'
وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿92﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور اگر وہ جھٹلانے والے گمراہوں میں سے ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And if he is from the deniers, the astray, –
Arberry
But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray,
فَنُزُلٌۭ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ ﴿93﴾
Ahmed Ali
تو کھولتا ہوا پانی مہمانی ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Then his reception is the hot boiling water.
Arberry
there shall be a hospitality of boiling water
وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ ﴿94﴾
Ahmed Ali
اور دوزخ میں داخل ہونا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
And a hurling into the blazing fire.
Arberry
and the roasting in Hell.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ ﴿95﴾
Ahmed Ali
بے شک یہ تحقیقی یقینی بات ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
This is indeed an utmost certainty.
Arberry
Surely this is the truth of certainty.
فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿96﴾
Ahmed Ali
پس اپنے رب کی نام تسبیح کر جو بڑا عظمت والا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khan
Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest.
Arberry
Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty.
